Antiquated practice in Military Nursing Service, quashed by Delhi High Court

This is the victory of nurses against gender discrimination by Military Nursing Services by adhering to the colonial law and "antiquated practice" as the honorable high court observed.

In India, nursing as a profession evolving there are a lot number of nursing unions, associations are fighting for the rights of the nurses.

These fights are from long and overdue since ages, we are fighting for the minimum daily wages, risk allowances, better workplaces though nursing has been almost one and a half century old in India still we are practicing or following age-old laws which have crippled the advancement of nursing as a profession. Hence, I would request the young educated nurses to take up the issues to raise the awareness among the people.

we shall appreciate the efforts of the IPNA (Indian Professional Nurses Association) for filing a petition to bring the "antiquated practice" to the notice of honorable bench in Delhi High Court.
